1968 Pontiac GTO

Originally produced from 1964 through 1974 and later reintroduced in 2004, the Pontiac GTO is one of America's favorite muscle cars.

Bill is prepping the frame for paint.
The paint job on the frame is shown in progress.

Here is some more of the paint work.

Before and after shots of the front steering and suspension parts. The parts were alkaline dipped.
The control arms are beginning to look good.

Notice the four wheel DRUM brakes. Front disk brakes were not standard on this car....stopping could be an adventure.
New exhast pipes.

The restored differential and axles to go with the new shocks and brake drum assembly.

Installation of the motor, a Pontiac 400cid (389 bored over).

4-speed Muncie transmission. This model year GTO came with a
3-speed TH-400. The Muncie 4-speed was over-the-counter option.

Here is some of the deterioration around the back window.

The body is not in bad shape and should need basic cleaning and prep.

More prep work.
