1968 Pontiac GTO
Brought into our shop was Pontiac's infamous GTO. Here we have a 1968 GTO, one of America's favorite muscle cars. Original production ran from 1964 to 1974. Then reintroduced in 2004.

Bill is checking out his handy work. His punishment for not bringing in donuts was to scrub the whole frame with a toothbrush.
You can see here we started the paint job.

Here is some more of the paint work. Looks nice, doesn't it.

Before and after front steering and suspension parts. The parts were alkaline dipped. Beats using a toothbrush.
Those control arms look good.

Check it out. Four wheel drum brakes. Front disk brakes was an extra option.
Brand spanking new exhast pipes. I hope Wes remembers to remove the plastic bags.

Looks like a brand new differential and axles to go with the shocks and brake drum assembly.

This is a shot of us dropping in the motor, Pontiac 400cid (389 bored over). The question now is, do we go with the two-barrel carb or shoot for the Quadrajet four-barrel.

4-speed Muncie transmission. This model year GTO came with a
3-speed TH-400. The Muncie 4-speed was over-the-counter option.

These photos show some damage around the back window.

Working on the body. It's not in too bad of shape. We hired some guy we found to sand down the rust so we could go golfing. It was nice day and he had a sign - will werk 4 foode.

We were surprised. He did a nice job. We'll get him a gift card to Burger King.
